"An emotional landscape describes the emotional environment in which one lives, primarily relative to the people that populate one's living space."

-John J. Stathas, Ph.D., LMFT

I wrote 'Landscapes" with the intent to musically paint emotional landscapes.

Within this piece, there are several sections. New themes continue to evolve and change while conveying an expansion of emotions, just like in the human experience.

Originally, 'Landscapes' was written for solo piano. Due to its level of difficulty I adapted this piece for four hands.

You will often hear the use of chromatics, triplets against straight time and the interval of a fourth occurring frequently throughout the piece.

'Landscapes' has been performed at Timucua Arts Foundation and the Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts.
